Vision and Mission of Directorate of Livestock

Vision: 'Ensuring safe, adequate and quality animal feed for all and development of livestock'

Mission: To meet the demand for animal meat by providing animal health services, increasing animal production and productivity and adding value.

Objectives of establishing the farm:

 Ensuring safe, adequate and quality animal feed for all and livestock development.
 Encouraging people to set up farms at rural level.
 Distribution of growing children among small, medium farmers and people.
 Eliminating unemployment by creating self-employment opportunities for unemployed youth through poultry rearing.
 To provide necessary technical advice to farmers on poultry rearing and biosecurity.
 To play a role in meeting the demand of safe animal meat.

Services provided to the public:

 To sell 1 day old chicks produced in the farm at government price.
 Distribution of growing children at government prices among the public.
 Encouraging people to set up poultry farms at rural level.
 To provide necessary advice to the interested persons regarding establishment and management of farms.
 Providing necessary advice on husbandry and management to ongoing farm owners and poultry keepers.
